We are an established research group in Analytical Chemistry in the Section of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva in Switzerland.
Our research focuses on understanding, developing and applying chemical sensing principles for a wide range of applications. This research is interdisciplinary where we enjoy performing fundamental and applied work, very often as part of the same project. Physicochemical principles and associated models are being understood and developed. Molecular recognition materials, including polymeric materials are planned and synthesized. Sensor integration and prototyping is largely realized in house with the help of an excellent mechanical and electronics workshop. The sensors are also directly deployed in the field and in hospitals to gain an appreciation of real world applications and to help having a direct, positive impact on the world.
